At JNC we have over 20 years’ experience in developing software solutions for Sage Accounts. For the last 15 years we have specialised entirely in the needs of small and medium sized companies in the Construction Industry.  During this time we have gained a detailed insight into the needs of companies in this sector and have developed a range of software to meet these needs. Our software development team is highly skilled and has close links with Birmingham University. We do not believe in bespoke software for one company. This is far too expensive and difficult for users to specify their requirements. Instead we have developed specialised solutions for small and medium sized companies in Construction. In this way the development costs are spread across over 800 companies and our expertise and best practice develops from a wide range of customer input.  Our software is always evolving with changing business needs and technology as is evident with the introduction of ConstructionManager.net

The History of JNC

JNC Solutions Ltd was founded in 1994 by Dr James Noel Carney, a Nuclear Physicist at Birmingham University and Researcher at CERN in Switzerland. Noel was responsible for developing software for his Research Group at the same time as Sir Tim Berners-Lee, a British scientist who invented the World Wide Web (WWW) at CERN.  Later Noel was approached by a friend to see if he could design some software to help him in his construction business! He wanted to keep track of how much profit (if any!) he was making on his jobs, together with figures on budgets and costings. Dr Carney came up with, what would now be considered, basic management reports. Over time the software was developed as he was asked to include more information. Thereafter, Construction Manager was born. Today JNC is a successful and profitable business which has supplier over 800 companies in the Construction Industry and continues to develop new products to help improve our customer’s business processes.
